WORKERS’ COMPENSATION CREDENTIALS
I litigated workers’ compensation cases as an attorney for about 10 years prior to my transition to mediation full-time. I published and lectured at the North Carolina Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Seminars in 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013, providing the annual case law update. Further, I have lectured at the North Carolina Bar Association’s Annual Review Program. I have been humbled to receive the Super Lawyers Rising Stars Peer Recognition every year from 2012 to 2018.
Mediations can be stressful for both sides. Kate has a way of cutting the tension between the parties and making my client feel comfortable. Her background and community service help her to connect with people on both sides of the table.
