HOW CAN I HELP?

As a superior court certified mediator, I am qualified to facilitate a wide variety of cases including:

While at Teague Campbell Dennis & Gorham, I litigated cases involving workers’ compensation, professional liability, medical malpractice, and real estate disputes. Additionally, I represented clients litigating claims at the Industrial Commission. I have also represented nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, real estate agents and social workers who were grappling with professional liability claims.

Through this work, I gained a deep understanding of the perspectives of both sides and learned a great deal about alternative dispute resolution.

My experience has allowed me to publish and lecture extensively on worker’s compensation and liability case law review.

MEDIATION

Mediation is a process in which two or more parties of a dispute come together with a trained, impartial third-party who will help them work together to attain a settlement.

Choosing mediation allows the parties to resolve their dispute in a low-stress environment without costly, binding court intervention.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION

Mediation is one of several types of conflict resolution. Others include binding arbitration and conciliation.

These types of alternative dispute resolution are generally used when large groups of people, such as a worker’s union, have a dispute with an entity such as a corporation. The aim (to settle a dispute) is the same; however, the process differs from mediation.
